Flip open the three doors of this wooden baby toy to reveal Mama, Papa and Baby Bear! Crafted from select hardwood and accented with child-safe dyes, First Play Peek-a-Boo House is perfect for babies and young toddlers developing hand-eye coordination and concepts of object permanence, or any young child exploring cause-and-effect, language, memory, counting, colors, sounds and much more–there are so many ways to play!
Extension Activities: More Ways to Play and Learn:
Talk to your child about what you see. Describe colors, shapes and the different parts of the house, pointing to each feature as you say its name. (“I see a blue roof. Here is a red chimney. Can you touch the red chimney?”) Pause between sentences to let the child point to a part of the house or mimic your speech.
Flip open one of the windows to reveal the bear hiding behind it. Then open the other window and the door to find the other bears. Ask the child to close the windows and door. Then ask the child to try to open them to look for the bears.
Listen to the click and clack as the door and windows open and close.
Create a story about the house. Pretend the bear family is playing hide-and-seek, and that you are looking for them one at a time. (“Where is Baby Bear? Is he here? Yes! Here is Baby Bear!”)
